Year2k project to update the enterprise server network of Novell, Windows NT4 and SUN UNIX servers. To include the Market Data delivery systems of Reuters, Bloomberg and Trax and Traders workstations. New enterprise wide backup systems implemented to encompass DR and testing of the DR site and procedures and validation of data.

Associated with a consultancy company, on a large relocation project of a complete new infrastructure and systems build into a new building. Involved with the automated build and update of trading floor desktops. Clustered server environment for high availability attached to an EMC Symmetrix Storage Area Network.

Project Managed the design, budget, build and implementation of a Disaster Recovery site of 120 positions. Including all Market data services, Dealer boards, Telephony, mail , file and print services. Delivery of planned reconfiguration of the bank’s TCP/IP stack to adhere to the bank’s global multi master Enterprise domains models.

Fit out and move of a 300 seat trading floor, including network, servers, desktops, dealerboards, market data feeds and other 3rd party systems.

After the sell out of this section from a major investment bank to an American asset company. A complete upgrade of their systems was required, upgrade from NT 3.51 & Novell to NT4 Servers. Mail system migration from CC Mail to Exchange in both UK and States. Desktop roll out and upgrade to Windows 95. New Reuters Data systems and Open Bloomberg implementation.
